Our mission

Ledgely exists because every time someone looks up a basic small business question. How to get an EIN, what documents to keep on file, how to track expenses without losing their mind. They get either a law firm blog trying to sell them services, or a Reddit thread from 2019 with conflicting answers.

We fix that. Every guide, tool, and template on this site is written in plain English, organized in the order you'd actually use it, and kept free to read.

• 12 free templates. Checklists, CSV starters, and document templates you can copy and adapt.
• 4 Pro Systems. Structured, done-for-you execution kits that combine guides, tools, and templates into one complete workflow.

Editorial standards

Every piece of content on Ledgely follows three rules:

1. Plain language. No legalese, no jargon for jargon's sake. If a five-year-old can't follow the first sentence, we rewrite it.
2. Correct order. We organize content in the order you'd actually use it. Start a business, register it, set up accounting, get paid, grow.
3. No agenda. We don't sell leads, we don't push services you don't need, and we don't pretend to know things we don't. The free tier is genuinely useful on its own.

How we make money

Ledgely is supported by Google AdSense ads shown on some pages. Our Pro Systems are free, structured toolkits that combine this free content into step-by-step execution flows. No paywalls, email gates, or "unlock the rest of this article" prompts.

We also display ads through Google AdSense on some pages. Ads never appear on tool result screens or in places that would interfere with the calculators.

Who runs Ledgely

I'm Omar. I run Ledgely, and I write the guides. I'm an entrepreneur and a student. When I formed my LLC, I thought the paperwork was the hard part. It wasn't. The hard part came after: figuring out what I owed, staying compliant, and not wrecking my taxes because I was guessing.

I couldn't afford a proper accountant. Not "didn't want to." Couldn't. So I was determined to handle it all myself. That cost me. I missed deadlines, mixed up forms, and spent nights at 1am googling things a professional would have answered in five minutes. I made the mistakes so you don't have to.

I'm closing that gap the right way now. I start my Bachelor's in Accounting this September. Ledgely is where I turn what I've learned, and what I'm still learning, into plain-English help for first-time owners. The guides and tools stay free.
