How the math works
Etsy's 6.5% transaction fee applies to item price, shipping, and gift wrap; U.S. sales tax is excluded from that base. Payment processing is modeled on the buyer total including sales tax. Offsite Ads are 15% below the $10,000 prior-year threshold and 12% after reaching it; the fee is capped at $100 per attributed order. Eligible shops below the threshold may opt out; after the threshold, participation is mandatory for the life of the shop.
